Disposing of Mercury Properly
As of January 1, 2008, the State of New Hampshire law bans the disposal of mercury-containing items in the trash. These items include:
- Fluorescent Lamps
- Compact Fluorescent Lamps
- Thermometers
- Thermostats
- Tilt Switches
- Manometers
- Button Batteries
If you have to dispose of these items please bring them to the Transfer Station on Tuesday or Saturday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm and we would be happy to recycle them for you free of charge.
