The decade of 1980 to 1990 saw one of the largest periods of population growth within the Town of Pembroke. Between 1980 and 1990 the population of the town increased from 4,861 to 6,651 for an increase of 34.5%.
Pembroke's location, quality of life and schools makes it an attractive place to live and do business. It is anticipated that the population of Pembroke will continue to grow well into the next century. It is projected that the town's population will increase to 7,502 by the year 2000, and to 9,372 by 2010.
