Event Date:
Wednesday, April 26, 2023 - 5:00pm to 6:00pm

This presentation of his book, and the backstory leading up to publishing, is a fun family event. John incorporates poetry from the book, some new poems, with plenty of video and photographic elements. It highlights the innate relationship between the wilderness and spirit in a non religious narrative that all can relate to. The elements of the book/presentation take place in Quetico Provincial Park, 1.2 million acres of pure canoe wilderness in NW Ontario. There is something for everyone to enjoy in his reading/presentation. Quetico Connection is available to check out at your local library or to purchase at local bookstores, and Amazon. There will be copies for purchase and signing after the Q&A conclusion. John has been writing for over 50 years and has read his poetry at numerous events. He has been paddling canoes since a five week northern Maine trip in the 8th grade. Home is now Allenstown NH. The presentation is around an hour, with time for a group or personal Q & A after.

Review
Quetico Connection brought me back to the days I spent wandering through nature as a kid, spending time with family and friends. The poems bring a sense of wonder and truly make you feel as though you are traveling along with the author, paddling side by side experiencing the world through his eyes and ears. There were many times I would finish a page and have to go back so that I could picture everything again! 10/10 recommend to all nature and poetry lovers alike.
